Congratulations, you’ve found your one true love and you’re ready to run off into the sunset together…
BUT WAIT… you want to capture it so you can look back when you’re old and grey, and then be able to smile and share with your children and grandchildren.
You know even if you lose your mind and your looks you will still have these images to remind you both of how wonderful the day felt (ok and how damn good you both looked!).
What to expect when looking for a wedding photographer
To get confused, it’s a sea out there! Who do you choose? Well the choice is ultimately yours. We’d like to say pick us, pick us!!
No really, we suggest you start with a conversation so everyone can get to know each other a little better and see if we’re a good fit. We’d love to hear what’s important to you and what you have planned for the day.
Things to consider are how much of the day you’d like photographed. Would you like everything from getting ready through to dancing the night away. Or do you only require the ceremony & couple photos? Everyone is different and we are happy to work with you and your budget.
Is your wedding an elopement? A micro wedding or a big shebang ? We can accommodate for every size wedding. Covering everything from digital file packages, to beautiful heirloom albums and fine art prints. You can view product samples here.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you travel?
Yes we travel to where ever you will take us! The usual radius is within 100km from the studio in Nowra, NSW Australia. Outside of this a small travel fee and accommodation are required. We regularly photograph in Sydney, Bowral, the Blue Mountains & in Canberra.
How soon should we book you?
We usually take bookings 12-18 months in advance so get in contact now to avoid missing out. 2021 is pretty full and 2022 & 2023 is filling up fast. Fill in your details on the Contact page and send us your questions and we’ll be in touch within 12hrs (unless technology has failed us and then we’d suggest giving us a call ph 0415 976 396 or emailing direct email@example.com) Also check your spam folder as these days a lot of mail ends up there especially if we’ve included some helpful links.
Once you have decided to book us, it’s really simple! We will guide you through the process step by step.
How do we book you as our wedding photographer / videographer?
First get in touch, then we can send you an online contract and a small booking fee to secure the date.
What time should we have the ceremony?
Totally up to you, it’s your day after all! We recommend 2:30pm in Winter, 3pm in Autumn, 3:30pm in Spring and 4pm in Summer. It’s best to allow about 2 hours of light for photos with family, your wedding party and partner after the ceremony.
Can you help us with our wedding timeline?
Yes we would love to! We will chat to you about your day and map out what to expect and how long things will take to allow enough time so you’re not rushed and don’t miss anything important.
Do you need a meal?
It’s always nice to be fed. If you have booked 6 hours or more then a meal for each hired staff would be greatly appreciated. (Most of us are vegetarian)
Do you photograph same sex couples?
Absolutely yes! Love is love, we are looking forward to meeting you both and capturing your story.
Can you help us with choosing other vendors?
Yes we have a recommended supplier list of people we have worked with who do amazing work. Just shoot through an email to receive this list.
How long until our photos are ready?
You will receive a sneak peek of photos a few days after the wedding for you to share with family & friends on social media. The full photographic collection and your films will be ready at around 8 weeks.
Do you offer albums?
Yes and they are absolutely beautiful!! They will become part of your family history and are guaranteed to last generations. All albums are custom made with superior quality with exclusive suppliers only available to professional photographers. An album can be added to your gift registry, Guests can purchase a gift voucher online HERE or over the phone. They love giving you something so valuable & special. Or you can do a 12 month payment plan and have it arrive on your 1 year anniversary. You can view samples here
Do we need two photographers?
Not always but on some occasions it just isn’t possible for one photographer to be in two places at once. If both partners are getting ready at locations more than 30mins apart or you book more than 10 hours coverage than it is required. It is absolutely not necessary to book 2 photographers just because you are concerned about getting enough variety in your images. We are professionals and have the ability to ninja all over the place!
Do we need to book a videographer as well as a photographer?
Completely up to you, you can book us individually or as a team. However it is really nice having two formats to relive the wedding day – and both are so different.
How do a photographer & videographer work together?
The Team have been carefully selected to work seamlessly with one another because they all share a relaxed, unobtrusive shooting style. We understand where each of us needs to be to make sure we’ve both got the shots we need without getting in each others way. Having a creative team that collaborates so well on the day is always a positive.
The most important thing is for you to feel comfortable and enjoy your amazing day. You’re in safe hands with us.
Will you dance with us at the end of the night?
YES! If we are booked until late then we will be on the dance floor with you before we head off.
How much do you charge?
Packages range from $1300- $4000 as a guide. Live Photography has many options on offer so please send us some more info so we can send you a personalised quote. Do you want photography coverage from 6-10 hrs or are you having a more intimate wedding and only need 2-3hrs of coverage? Or simply eloping just you two?
